Should College Atheletes get paid

My topic for the Research Argument Assigment involves college athletes being paid to play college sports.  For many years I have debated along with my friends that a fair amount Divison 1 football players get paid in some way weather it be under the table from boosters or directly from the head coach in some way shape or form I believe they are paid. Thus the question should the athletes get paid for playing throughout their college years.  The answer lies within the majority of fans and the many people who cherish and watch the sport as well as legends who left their legacy before with different rules.  Some undermining questions regarding this assignment include questions regarding if they do get paid how much and who decides as well as the statements regarding the issues in college football.  Throughout the years college football has turned the heads of many and made the student part of student-athlete a very less prominent figure in recruiting as well as for payments to be distributed if they were able to get in the school.  Odds are if a coach really wants one of the prospects to strive on the football field he will help him get easy help in the class rooms.  The players also get scholarships to play at such prestigious universities.  So the thought perceived by many is that the players should be able to get more money along with the  scholarship with others in the university trying to use maximum amounts of financial aid.  My thesis for this paper will run between the lines of, “Should college athletes get paid yes no maybe? 3 reasons and so on.  I can see myself using sources such as files from previous cases where players where getting paid and given cars along with valuables.  The interviews between the NCAA and the player will provide good incite to the paper.
